Commissions

I’m very honored to be teaming up with such an amazing cartoonist, Walter Carzon.  His work can be seen in a number of Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry and Scooby-Doo comics (DC comics) as well as collaborating on the Space Jam: A New Legacy movie.  He knows his stuff and how to tell a story just with a picture.

For the first time ever, I’m teaming up with an artist/cartoonist to give you Digital Commissions.  Just like regular pencil and paper commissions, these are hand drawn AND colored but on the computer.  Since Walter does not live in the US, him shipping me the commissions would be very costly and would drive up the price.  We don’t want to do that.  So, we thought of Digital Commissions.  Here’s a little run down of how this works:

  • Describe in detail what you’d like (character(s), poses, action shot, etc.)
    • If you have any references, please send them or give them to me before starting the commission
  • I will send everything off to Walter to start drawing
  • He’ll send me the digital file for coloring
  • When finished, I’ll send you an email, letting you know your commission is done, then send you the file

That’s it!  Pretty simple.

Here’s the FULL Price Sheet and Rundown:

* One Character (Full Color w/Minimal or NO Background)    $150
* Two Characters (Full Color w/Minimal or NO Background)  $200
Additional Characters for an extra fee

* THESE COMMISSIONS ARE FOR PRIVATE COLLECTIONS ONLY AND NOT FOR REPRODUCTION OF ANY KIND W/OUT ARTISTS APPROVAL.

* Payment is due before work begins

* Delivery time may vary due to artist’s schedule (but we’ll keep in touch)

What we CAN do:
– Fan Art, Original Characters, Children’s Illustrations, Cartoon Style

What we DON’T do:
– Portraits, Realistic Drawing, Caricatures, Logos, Anime, Porn, Violence

All commissions will have both artist’s signatures on it

We do reserve the right to use the artwork as part of our personal portfolio
We do reserve the right to post the finished commission in our personal gallery

So nothing too out of the ordinary.

HOWEVER, if you’re looking to get the piece printed, I can print if for you (any size).  There will just be an additional charge for printing and shipping.  OR, if I’m going to see you at an upcoming convention, I won’t charge shipping, I’ll give it to you personally at the show.

I know it’s kind of a lot of info, but please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at: jeff@jeffbalkestudios.com

New & Updated Merchandise

We have new and updated merchandise now available in TWO locations!  www.shopbalkestudios.com and now on Amazon!  Both offer GREAT quality and a great price.

ShopBalkeStudios.com has been my main merchandise store for years.  We offer everything from t-shirts (men, women & kids) to hoodies, drinkware, phone cases and so on.  And every so often, specialty products.  This site is a “made to order” type of site.  So when you place your order on that item you want, they make it right then and there and ship it out directly to you (anywhere in the WORLD).  If there was a problem with the item, all you’d have to do is ship it back and they will take care of it for you by replacing the item or getting a refund.

There are multiple color and size options for each item of apparel.  What really got me was the size 5XL they offer on select items.  It’s really difficult to find places who print on those sizes for some reason.  I mean hey, I’m a big guy, so I need extra room too.

Now on Amazon, I have a very limited catalogue to choose from.  But again, they offer up to size 6XLT.  So it makes me feel good that people of all shapes and sizes can wear our merchandise.  And just like ShopBalkeStudios.com, Amazon also prints “made to order” as well.  And if you have Amazon Prime, shipping is FREE!

Both sites offer the same kind of printing.  DTG (direct to garment).  This means the ink actually settles into the item vs just sitting on top of it like screen printing.  The color lasts longer and it won’t peel or crack after washing.

So check out both sites:
